Family Trees
Do you know where you come from? The word Genealogy stems from the Greek for ‘generation’ and ‘knowledge’. Genealogy is the term for the study of families and yes, we do this too!
We will look at the direct lineage of one or more lines (e.g. father, grandfather, great-grandfather…) starting from 2 generations. We use a wide range of sources, both online and at archives, to ensure that determinations of kinship are as accurate as possible.
Our genealogy research will include an index book along with a printed family tree which, dependant on how big your family is, can be approx. 12 foot long!
The Process
1. Initial Consultation
We will hold a consultation with you either on the phone, by email or in person to discuss your case particulars and objectives. Here you will need to provide us with as much information already known about your family and ancestors.
2. Proposal
We will then provide a clear strategy and plan along with a fixed cost price.
3. Agreement
You accept our proposal and agree to our terms of business, data protection policy and measures set out in the quotation. Payment is then made on account.
4. Commencement
Once we have received payment on account along with the full instruction, we commence the build of your tree. On completion you will be provided with a printed family tree on a scroll plus and index book.
We do not hold any details on record once the case has been completed.
Family Tree Packages
Family tree packages are ideal for learning about your ancestors or make the perfect gift for Christmas, birthdays, and anniversaries! You tell us who the starting person is, this is typically the furthest ancestor you know, and we pick up the research from here. Each package is beautifully presented for an everlasting record of your family.
