Objective: Locate grandfather’s birth record and compile family tree
Our client initially requested us to locate his grandfather’s birth certificate as he was born in Ireland in the early 1920’s. Our client was unable to locate this record of birth and it was required for our client to obtain dual nationality with Ireland due to Brexit.
After many weeks of research and investigation, we located the baptism record for our client’s grandfather.
It transpired this record was never recorded as a birth, therefore nearly 100 years after the birth, we secured the official birth record of our client’s grandfather and ensured it was held in the Irish Civil Registration system.
Our client then requested we proceed with compiling his full family tree. We located ancestors across many countries and pursued the clients’ living relatives. Our client was shocked to realise he had cousins not too far away and one distant cousin was identified in a photograph from the 1940’s who looked very very similar to our client!
